The New Everyday is a concluding “unconference” to the NYU Visual Culture Working Group and its predecessors. The goal is to establish a set of small working groups on the theme of The New Everyday that will continue the project in more focused fashion.

The NYU Visual Culture Working Group is the result of an NYU Humanities Initiative grant for 2008-09, chaired by Nicholas Mirzoeff and Marita Sturken. The membership is drawn from visual culture faculty and students both at NYU and other NYC area institutions.
